(I have made light of our Flag, but I do so with reverence. As a Vietnam Era Veteran, I respect our Flag and the country o'er which it flies. While I was no war hero, I served my country with pride.
....Because of those who have died, as well as those who have survived in the far flung theaters of war, I am able to poke fun of my country and our Flag. Our Veteran's efforts allow us to live in a country where we have the freedom to speak our minds, freedom to express ourselves, and freedom to live as free men and women.
