Who stood in the snow covered grass,
While the North wind blew down a hill
And would nip at his frost bitten ass!
It so happened Bill the lonely snowman
Was built where in spring flowers bloom,
By a very pretty young woman named Jan
In front of the windows of her bedroom.
In shape and form was this girl blessed,
Liberated and free, she was not a prude.
Every night by the window she undressed
And she danced and pranced in the nude.
Outside all was so frozen and wind-swept,
But inside he knew it was warm in there.
He stood all night watching as she slept
With no blanket even though she was bare.
And then one night during a deep freeze
He looked up into the sky at a single light,
He shivered and prayed mid a cold breeze
Oh little star, I wish I may, I wish I might;
The next morn neath the sky clear and blue,
Jan was out there rolling big balls of snow.
Bill didn't know his wish was to come true
As he watched the snowballs grow and grow.
Two snowballs, way too big to throw or hurl,
Were different sizes and added was a third,
Until they took on the curved shape of a girl.
Was it a wolf whistle Jan thought she heard?
With her hands Jan molded the frozen snow
And with each pat the shape became cuter;
And within Bill anticipation began to grow
As she added one and then a second hooter.
And so it was that night that it came to pass
That Bill ignored naked Jan in her bedroom.
And out there upon the snow covered grass
They would become snow bride and groom.
And the next day was sunny, warm and mild
And Jan was shocked at what she would see;
But her snow woman heavy with snow child
And a smile on Bill's face as wide as can be!
A moral of this snow story you should know:
That the next time the first snowflake falls
And you build a man and woman out of snow,
Better make sure he doesn't have snow balls!

Jack,
You're welcome. That was fun to write.
Sandee,
Thank you.
Sometimes all I need for an idea is a picture (Or a cartoon in this case) and then I run with it.
Christina,
I liked the cartoon too. Then of course it spawned that little poem as a story behind the toon.
