Site Seeing

For Christmas my daughter gave me a new desk calendar. Knowing my inquisitive mind, especially for all things trivial and mundane, she picked out a good one. It is called "365 Wacky Web Sites."

I thought I would turn a little Miss Cellania-esque for today's post and throw up some of the links to sites featured on the calendar through the first 14 days of 2009.

Jan 7, 2009- Will it Blend?

Some of you have probably seen this site. If not, you will find it interesting to see Spam run through a blender - while it's STILL in the can! See what happens when the blender "processes" golf balls, talking stuffed animals, Bic lighters, and many other objects at Will It Blend.

Click her for: Road Ode.

Jan 9, 2009 - Max Dirt Bike

Another game site. In this one you ride your dirt bike through an obstacle course. Much harder than it looks. Other games can be found at the site's home page at Addicting Games.

Jan 10, 2009 - New Wonders

During the Hellenistic period ancient Greek writers compiled lists of the 7 greatest man-made wonders. At this web site, the webmasters compiled a list seven new wonders on which you can vote at: 7 New Wonders.

In case you've forgotten, there's still the 7 Ancient Wonders of the world at The UnMuseum.

Jan 13, 2009 - Calculator Words

"Ooblgshezi," is the name of the language formed by the upside numbers punched into a calculator. A huge list of words formed in this manner can be found at: Lang Maker.

Jan 14, 2009 - The Way Things Go

You can see Rube Goldberg contraptions at: The Way Things Go.

If I do this again, I think I'll limit the post to only one week's worth of calendar days - or least just the most interesting ones.

I dare say that you have just crossed the line. You have just added another level of evil to the web. As if I didn't have enough to do ignoring millions of other sites, now you add more options.

Should you choose to do this again there is a strong possibility that we, the riffraff, will arise and stone thee with....

In the meantime, continue to...

Serve with integrity, care about those you serve and share the love in your heart/soul.
