Bang! Bang! I Blogged You Down

Fourth Of July

I wish each and every one of you a wonderful Holiday.

It's been a busy day for me. Did you ever notice that there is more work before and after a BBQ than there actually is to sitting down and feasting on the grilled delights?

Besides the aforementioned BBQ, I have been a busy body to say the least. If you have read my previous post "Cover of the Rolling Stone?," then you'll know I was busy with a campaign of sorts at FTS'place with a suggestion for a candidate for the "Blog Of The Week."

My proudest moment, however, was serving as the guest blogger for Monty. It was an honor to do this for her on the 4th of July! It was my Yankee Doodle duty, Monty. Why don't you click on the blue underscored "Monty" above and pay her a visit. (For the more learned of you, click on the above hyperlink.) She is off on vacation for a week and starting yesterday there will be a parade of us substitutes trying to make her blog at least look active. So won't you wish her a happy vacation and let us guest bloggers earn our pay by garnering a whole bunch of comments for Monty to read.

Finally, I am throwing together this post to extend holday greetings and well wishes to all of Blogdom. I'll then settle down in front my TV, watch the Boston Pops perform on the Esplanade on Boston's Charles River, which is a prelude to a planned twenty-three minutes of fireworks. Sure, it isn't like seeing them live, but I'll be home in my underwear and slippers (not a pretty sight, I know) while nearly a million people will be in caught in the ensuing traffic jams. There's a madness to my methods.

So have a fun and safe evening this Holiday. Whether you are with your friends or families watching live fireworks, downing some frosties,or sitting at home in your underoos, Happy 4th of July.

happy 4th to you. I'm comforting a distraught schnoodle who is NOT enjoying the neighborhood fireworks extravaganza.

I miss the Boston 4th after being at two of them. Fortunately for many years I was able to continue to experience it vicariously through the A&E broadcast. Unfortunately CBS took it away from A&E and offered a much abbreviated version which isn't worth tuning into anymore.
Yeah for the 4th!

I trust you are pale and hearty, Old Chum.

And, yeah, fireworks on TV ain't like the real thing. No way.

Happy belated 4th, Hale. I've been too busy traveling from vacation to vacation to read much. This is getting tiring...
