No Fooling

I have no tales of perfect April Fools Day jokes. I can think of none that went awry.

Always the joker, I have found it difficult to pull off April Fools jokes and pranks. Ever aware of the significance of the day, those in my circles were always wary the moment I would arrive on the scene.

On the first day of April if I tried to tell a true story about something that happened to me, it would immediately be dismissed as an attempt to pull off an April Fools gag. As such, this fun-loving clown was 'the little boy who cried wolf.'

I fear the same would be true if I attempted to put up an April Fools Day post today. My readers are an intelligent lot and would see through me with the opening line.
Let's see, if I were to tell you that there is a new selection of greeting cards in the stores, would anyone believe me? Do you suppose there are some women who would feel inclined to buy and send one these cards?
....I can take solace in the fact that if I did receive one of these cards and told someone, they wouldn't believe me. For the record, I don't want to hear any applications of reverse psychology either.

Starting tomorrow, there will be a fee to visit this site. Only the legal tender seen at the right will be accepted. All proceeds will go toward Dubya's retirement.

I found this picture in our family album. It was from the last party I went to. I took my wife's advice, "When you dress up, always remember to accessorize!"

April Fools!

That's not really me in that picture! I found this on the web somewhere. It didn't come from our family album!

Gotcha! Didn't I ? Besides I would need a wider and longer tie!

(Sigh) See what I mean? No one ever believes me! I never can have fun on this day.

I hope everyone had a nice April Fools Day, even if there are those of us who stay in hiding on this date. Hey, don't feel bad for me. There are 364 other days in the year!

Hi Mike, I was starting to doubt that I would get a photo of you for my upcoming post but I now have a beauty.
