My Valentine Prayer

Mixed candies boxed in red a carboard heart,
Little tokens to say how I feel;
A bouquet of roses that are a part
Of the feelings I know to be real.
Verses written by others on a card
Are saying the things I wish to say;
Sometimes the words are easy and yet hard,
Alas, I don't say them everyday.
Our years together are thirty and three,
And nary a one do I regret.
We need no special day you will agree
To remember the day that we met.
My Valentine prayer to you, my dear,
Is that we will continue to live
Loving one another without a fear
That we will have nothing left to give.
