When The Rain Fell
~
Ere my window, I gaze intently,
And watch the rain fall gently.
The window, open e'er slightly
Allows the rain to enter lighly.
The mositure has found a place
In my heart, splashing my face.
There was a time when the rain
And wind whispered your name;
I remember the day we met,
With rain, the skies were wet.
Your lips had the taste of rain,
And I know, mine were the same.
Trickling on our cheeks like tears,
The rain, it soothed our fears.
The moon was hidden somewhere,
But we knew that it was there.
The stars we didn't see that night,
But we knew that all was right.
I held you tenderly in my arms,
Fully surrendered to your charms.
But one day, the rains were gone,
And we parted before the next dawn.
Now when it rains, I sit and pray
That we can relive another rainy day.
Ere my window, I gaze intently,
And watch the rain fall gently.
