Candy Is Dandy

It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it!

These two weekend days have been productive. I finally tackled a couple of jobs that have been left unattended since last weekend.

The first task, the only one requiring any physical exertion, was to remove the last of the air conditioners from the window in the dining room. The task was completed only after I lugged it to the cellar for storage.

The other job, involved activity that would be classified more in the lines of pleasure. This can be one of those duties that is "the most enjoyment you can have with your clothes on." That is not to say that it cannot be just as enjoyable sans apparel.

Yes, it was the overdue task of wiping out the remaining candy left over from Halloween. It should be noted that the more desirable pieces have been depleted already for several days. Gone are the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Gone are the Kit Kats. Extinct are the Mounds bars.

The endangered species list includes York Peppermint Patties, Hershey Bars, 3 Musketeers, and Milky Ways.
Hold it! Scratch the Milky Ways!

For the time being, the Dum-Dums and Tootsie Rolls are in no immediate danger. They will survive the weekend. They will probably be providing the role of mid-week "appetizers."

The Biseteki Steak House

The Biseteki Steak House is a popular Japanese Restaurant in the suburbs north of Boston. I have one credo that I adhere to when I dine out: No cookie, no lookie! I do not eat bait!

Try to give me Sushi, be prepared to kiss my tushie! Ah so, you want me to eatie, you must cook the meatie!

Fortunately, they feature cuisine other than Sushi. I do enjoy sharing the meals their with the other patrons. You sit at a long table while the chef cooks up the various items over flames in the center of the table. He is positioned in a round cutout which allows him to turn 360 degrees to interact with each guest one-on-one.

I am not necessarily a fan of Japanese food, but I do prefer it over Chinese cuisine. If I had a third option, that would be where you'd find me. We went to the Biseteki compliments of a Gift certificate that was about to expire - that day at midnight.

The drive home included a quick stop at the drive-up window at Wendys for a Classic Double. Hey, I'm always still hungry after I leave non-occidental eateries.

Once home, after preparing a cup of coffee, I needed something to wash everything down. The light airy texture of a 3 Musketeers was just what the doctor ordered. By the way, place the 3 Musketeers on the extinct list now!

It's a dirty job .........

If you go to a sushi bar, you are supposed to eat sushi, you poor sap. Do not eat badly spelled Musketeers.

Sounds like you had the same treats we did..
I can't imagine eating any kind of uncooked seafood with the exception of something marinating in lime or lemon juice for 12 hours..

Hoss,you're right about "Muskateer"
I didn't catch that. I'll edit that, thanks.
But the "Biseteki" is a Steak house, not a sushi bar. It is only recently that they added it to their menu, finally succumbing to trend. Raw fish is a hard sell in New England.

I was pissed that we did not get ONE SINGLE REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER CUP in the Halloween loot.
My favorite.
Dammit.

I'm finding a new neighborhood to troll next year. That one sucked. :)
